Sun Ra is buried in Block 25 in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.

Block 25 is an enlongated block that is divided by the road into a roundish northern section and a larger L-shaped southern section. Sun Ra's grave is in the western chunk of the northern section, about 3 graves in from the road, near a vertical grave marked CHRISTU which has a cross carved into it in relief. The Christu grave is visible from the road. There is a rain drain at the roadside. Look for the LINDBERGH and MOON headstones at the roadside.
